Greek island protest enters day two

Athens, Feb 27 (UNI) The protests in Greece against building of new camps to replace overcrowded facilities on island of Lesbos, Samos, Chios, Leros and Kos off the coast of Turkey entered day two on Thursday.
Reportedly, dozens of people, including protesters and police officers, were injured as police have fired tear gas and rubber bullets at the protesters.
New camps are to be build to replace overcrowded facilities on these all five islands lie off the coast of Turkey, on a route where hundreds of thousands of migrants have tried to cross the sea on the way to Europe in recent years.
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has called for calm.
