Grand Alliance to stage dharna on November 13 to protest NDA government policies

Patna, Nov 08 (UNI) Grand Alliance today announced for staging dharna in all district headquarters of Bihar to protest flawed policies of Narendra Modi government at the Centre and seek support of the people for providing an alternative to Nitish Kumar government in the state.
Upendra Kushwaha, President of Rashtriya Lok Samta Party, a constituent of Grand Alliance, in presence of other leaders of the Alliance, told media persons here that BJP led NDA. government at the Centre had failed o fulfill the promises made to the people. Lofty promises were made but no seriousness was visible to fulfill it, leaving the common man at mercy of God, he added."Every attempt is being made to gag the voice of opposition and common man", RLSP leader said adding that those opposing the policies of the government were being dubbed as anti nationals. Noone could ask question from the government and there was an undeclared emergency under NDA regime at the Centre, he noted.Mr Kushwaha said that all constituents of Grand Alliance would stage dharna in all districts of Bihar on November 13 to protest anti poor policies of Narendra Modi government.Nitish Kumar government had also failed in fulfilling aspirations of the people and dharna on November 13 by Grand Alliance was to seek the support of the masses to provide an alternative to present dispensation in the state, he added.RLSP leader, responding to a query on decision of Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) to contest alone in 2020 Bihar Assembly Elections, said that he had no knowledge about it. He came to know about it only through media and it was expected that HAM led by former Chief Minister Jeetan Ram Manjhi would remain in Grand Alliance, RLSP leader maintained.State Secretary of CPI Satyanarayan Singh said that core sectors were being privatised and even Railways had not been spared.National economy had collapsed under Narendra Modi government, he alleged.Rajya Sabha MP of Congress Akhilesh Singh, president of VIP Mukesh Sahni, CPI(M) leader Arun Mishra were among other Grand Alliance leaders present on the occasion.
