Godrej Appliances targets 30 % growth during Onam festival

Godrej Appliances targets 30 % growth during Onam festival

Kochi, July 11 (UNI) Godrej targets 30 per cent growth in terms of revenue during Onam festival in Kerala, an official informed here today.

Launching new products and marking the beginning of Onam festive season, Godrej Appliances EVP and Business Head Kaman Nandi said that the company aims to achieve Rs 200 crore revenue in Kerala. 30 per cent growth over the last season through their premium products of washing machine, refrigerators, microwave ovens and chest freezers.

“Kerala is a strategic market for us and we have been enjoying support from the consumers of Kerala for a long time now. We recognise the ever-evolving aspirations of customers and are happy to offer products and services to meet their expectations. At Godrej Appliances, we seek to design and deliver relevant solutions to our customers’ needs and at the same time offer environmentally superior products.

As Onam marks the beginning of festive season for appliances segment, we take pride in giving our customers more reasons to celebrate by introducing new products and rolling out offers across the entire range of Godrej Appliances."

However, though a slight growth had been recorded across the country, Kerala was at diminishing rate of minus five per cent, while compared to the rest of the country.

He also indicated that, because of Dollar rate growth and price of steel, there might be a chance for hiking the price of home appliances after this season.

He informed that they had approached the Union government to bring down the GST to 18 per cent from the current 28 per cent, which would help to boost the industry.
