New Delhi, May 29 (UNI) The Congress on Monday said Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and party leader Sachin Pilot will unitedly fight the upcoming Assembly polls in the state, amid the reports of rift between the duo.
The latest development came after Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge held a meeting with Gehlot and state Pilot, in presence of top party leaders-- Rahul Gandhi and KC Venugopal here this evening.
"Congress president and Rahul Gandhi had a detailed four hour long discussion with Gehlot ji and Pilot ji. We have decided to fight the elections unitedly," Venugopal told reporters after the meeting.
He added, " Both are in agreement, we have to go together. It will be a joint fight against the BJP. We will win in Rajasthan."
Assembly elections in Rajasthan is likely to be held later this year.
