Foreigner, her friend, robbed in UP's Mathura

Mathura, Jun 10 (UNI) A foreigner lady and her friend were allegedly robbed by masked miscreants in the Nauhjheel area of this district in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said on Monday.
According to sources, the incident happened at highway number 70 of Yamuna expressway on Sunday evening when the woman, hailing from Mauritius, was standing near Gram Saitgarhi after her car developed some mechanical problem.
Meanwhile, three masked miscreants looted Rs 10,000 cash, 15 American dollars, 20 European dollars and the her mobile, and also looted her friend, Allahabad resident Anoop of Rs 5,000 and his mobile phone by threatening them with weapons.
Sources said one of the miscreant's aide was standing some distance away, ready to take the looters on the bike. After robbing the duo,they fled on their accomplice's motocycle.
As per the woman, the goons did not engage in any kind of physical assault.
After registering a case in the matter, police is searching for the absconding accused.
Superintendent of Police (rural) Aditya Kumar Shukla said efforts are on to nab the thieves.
