Ex Goa Congress Minority Cell Chairman Urfan Mulla joins BJP

Panaji, Nov 18 (UNI) Former Congress leader Urfan Mulla joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at its state headquarters in the city on Wednesday.
He joined the ruling party, along with his supporters, in the presence of BJP Goa President Sadanand Shet Tanavade and Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant 'Babu' Kavlekar.
He had resigned from the primary membership of Congress on November 17, 2020. Prior to that he had resigned from the post of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) Minority Cell Chairman party state spokesperson, claiming that he was not happy with the functioning of the party as there was no unity among senior leaders and nobody in the party bothered about issues of minorities.
