Eminent historian RL Shukla's last rites performed in Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) Last rites of eminent historian RL Shukla were performed by his son Pankaj Rag at the Nigambodh Ghat here on Saturday evening.
Shukla passed away this morning at a private hospital in Delhi following brief illness. He was 82.
The Communist Party of India has deeply mourned the demise of Shukla, saying that his passing away was a big loss to progressive historiography in India. Shukla was also a member of the CPI.
