Early detection and treatment are two key factors that contain Hepatitis: Hepatologist

Hyderabad, July 28 (UNI) Hepatitis Virus, which damages the liver should be detected and treated early, otherwise it may be fatal, said doctors from Aware Gleneagles Global Hospitals here on Thursday.
Addressing a special programme held at the Aware Gleneagles Global hospital here on the eve of World Hepatitis Day today, Dr B. Shivananda Reddy, consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist , said hepatitis is inflammation of the Liver. The World Health Organisation gives a theme for Hepatitis Day every year. The theme for the year 2022 is Bringing Hepatitis Care Closer to You.
Early detection is the only way to treat everyone who suffers from hepatitis, Dr Shivananda Reddy said there are 5 types of Hepatitis viruses -- A, B, C, D and E. Among these, A and E doesn't transmit from person to person, and they are self-limiting viruses. They also cause only mild diseases.

150 places cleaned under` Ek Tariq- Ek Ghante ‘programme in Kakinada
