Each scam shall be probed: Diggy

Bhopal, Aug 13 (UNI) Rajya Sabha Member and erstwhile Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijaya Singh averred on Tuesday that various “irregularities ranging from dumpers to e-tenders” perpetrated during the 15-year-long tenure of the predecessor Bharatiya Janata Party dispensation would certainly be subjected to investigation.
“In the Professional Examination Board inconsistencies, persons who paid bribes were named as accused whereas no action was initiated against those who received monetary gratification. I shall urge the government to make the ‘givers’ as witnesses so that the ‘takers’ are punished. Something similar happened in Haryana,” he said at a Meet-the-Press programme in the state capital.

Turning his gun on former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Mr Singh accused him of issuing all types of statements owing to the fact that he was no longer in the saddle and facing internal dissent.

“The Narendra Modi regime is misusing the Enforcement Directorate, the Income Tax Department and the Central Bureau of Investigation against its opponents. The Goods and Services Tax, demonetisation, etc resulted in a spurt in unemployment and a phase of recession commenced. However, the Centre sees only triple talaq and similar issues,” he alleged.
