Drug peddler arrested with cannabis in Ramban

Jammu, Jan 14 (UNI) Police on Tuesday arrested a drug peddler with contraband of cannabis in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.
SSP Ramban Anita Sharma here said that during patrolling, police led by inspector Vijay Kotwal, intercepted one suspected person, who on seeing the party near Middle School Batyari, started fleeing from the spot.
The alert cops apprehended the suspected person after a brief chase and during search, 800 grams of charas was recovered from the possession of the drug peddler identified as Kewal Singh of Gam, Ramban.
He was taken into custody and a case under NDPS Act was registered and investigation started.

Haryana govt to include six subjects incorporated by UPSC for IAS examinations

Chandigarh Jan 19 (UNI) Haryana Government has decided that six subjects which have been included by UPSC for IAS and Allied Services Examinations but are not in the HCS (Executive Branch) and Allied Services Examination would also now be included in the syllabus of HCS (Executive Branch) and Allied Services Examination.

Chandigarh, Jan 19 (UNI) In Haryana National Immunization round of Pulse Polio, 2020, was carried out today and 22 lakh children (about 56 percent) under 5 years of age were administered polio drops. Around 38 lakh children under five years of age are anticipated to be covered under the program.

Bhopal, Jan 19 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party Vice President and erstwhile Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan placed Rajgarh’s Deputy Collector in the crosshairs on Sunday by sharing a video in social media regarding an incident that occurred during a demonstration there in favour of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.
“It is a date which will live in infamy in our democracy. I cannot find words to condemn the shamelessness with which the lady officer kicked, dragged and slapped workers. Was she under orders to assault the demonstrators?” the politician wrote.
