Dolly Singh to host the awards night of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne

Mumbai, Aug 5 (UNI) Actor and digital creator Dolly Singh will take centre stage at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2026, where she has been selected to host the festival's prestigious awards night.
Singh will also attend the festival as an official guest and panelist.
According to the information released by IFFM, along with hosting the awards night to be held on August 13, she will also share her views in a special panel discussion on the topic 'Role of Women in Different Forms of Storytelling in Cinema'.
The 32-year-old actress said, "It's an honour to be a part of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne in so many different ways. Hosting the awards night was a very special experience, but what makes me even happier is that I've been invited to the festival as a guest and panelist. I believe that women are changing the way storytelling is done today with fresh thinking and new perspectives."
She said his journey hasn't been limited to acting. Through sketches, mini-series, microdramas, and directing and producing his own projects, the actress has learned that the power of a story lies not in its big budget, but in its truth and emotional impact. Singh is excited to celebrate Indian cinema on a global platform and share his thoughts with creative artists.
Over the past few years, Singh has expanded beyond being a digital content creator to become an actress, writer, director, and producer. She has also established a strong presence in new storytelling mediums by creating, directing, and presenting original mini-series and micro-dramas.
