New Delhi, Aug 15 (UNI) On the 74th Independence Day, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla remembered the martyrs whose sacrifices drove us towards attaining Independence and exuded confidence that the development oriented policy of the nation will make us move forward on the path of progress with people's determination.
The Speaker hoisted the flag at his residence and received the guard of honour. "Today we remember the brave martyrs whose sacrifices led us to our cherished independence," he said.
Mr Birla expressed hope that with the resolve of New India, the nation shall continue to progress ahead on the path of inclusive development.
