Delhi govt notifies revised auto fares

New Delhi, Jun 12 (UNI) Delhi Government on Wednesday notified upward revision of autorickshaw fares in the city with base fare of Rs 25 for first 1.5 kms and said despite revision auto fares will remain lower than Mumbai.
''Transport Department has notified revision of autorickshaw fares. After revision also, auto fares in Delhi to remain lower than other metro cities,'' Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot tweeted.
In Delhi, since 2013, meter downing of Auto Rickshaw's base fare was Rs 25 for first 2 kms.
Now as per revised rates, per km fare after 1.5 kms will be Rs 9.50 for every additional km.
Since 2013, per km fare after 2 kms was Rs 8 for every additional km.
In Mumbai current fares (since 2015), meter downing, base fare of Rs 18 is for first 1.5 km.
In Mumbai, per km fare, after 1.5 km is Rs 12.19 for every additional km.
