Defence Minister “uneasy’’ over JNUSU members’ participation with anti-India forces

New Delhi, Sep 18 (UNI) Criticizing JNU Students Union members over alleged support to anti-national elements, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday said that she felt uneasy over the participation of JNUSU members with anti-India forces.
The minister, an alumnus of Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU), alleged that JNUSU members were waging war against India as claimed by their pamphlets and brochures.
In an interaction with members of the Indian Women’s Press Corps (IWPC), Ms Sitharaman said, “With regards to JNU, I think it is sad as so many things are happening there. Election time argument disputes are norm but the kind of things which have happened in the last few years are really not encouraging at all. It's very different to have party whose ideologies may not be to agree with but the way in which they have probably got led by forces which are anti-India.’’
