New Delhi, May 27 (UNI) The former West Indian pacer Ian Bishop has compared the current Indian bowling unit to intimidating Caribbean bowlers of yesteryears, saying that the desire to win overseas has prompted India to consciously create a formidable pace battery.
Bishop believes the change in Indian culture to promote fast bowling started with the likes of Zaheer Khan, RP Singh, Munaf Patel following in the footsteps of Javagal Srinath and Kapil Dev in the early 2000s.
"It is perhaps the best generation of talents of fast bowling India have produced. And it started a while ago," Bishop told Harsha Bhogle on Cricbuzz in Conversation.
