Seoul, May 25 (UNI) After the mullet fever ebbed a bit, Korean firm Coway, who last week came out with an ad promo with superhit boyband BTS, faced a major backlash from ARMYs as the “J” tattoo on Jungkook’s ring finger went missing.

Fans quickly brought the error to Coway’s attention, asking for an explanation.

"Why you erase the "J" on Jungkook's tattoo...why?? It's his tattoo...care to explain?" a fan asked Coway.

Soon the Korean household vacuum cleaners company was facing a barrage of similar queries: "Where is Jungkook J tattoo? Why edit it out?? That’s a disrespect towards the artist."

ARMYs were upset.

Coway on Tuesday apologized for the mistake and corrected the image, adding the “J” tattoo back to Jungkook’s hand.

"Hello, everyone. We sincerely apologize that we've missed precious "J" letter on JK's hand. We'll soon replace it with the revised version, and make sure it won't happen again. Again, we are really sorry :'(," it quickly made ammends.

Coway explained that the missing “J” was unintentional, an error made while editing Jungkook’s skin tone.

"Hello everyone, here's the revised version of the previous photo. There was a mistake while editing the skin tone and there was no intention to disrespect the artist. As we promised, this kind of mistake won't take place again. We always respect our brand ambassador, @BTS_twt

From clothing to cars, BTS appears in advertisements for top brands around the globe. As brand ambassadors for Coway, BTS promotes air and water purifiers. For their latest ad campaign, the member wore bright, white suits that complement their matching dark hair.

The promo came just ahead of their next chapter to release in June "Proof".

The Coway as at first glance, doesn't seem out of place, however, hawk-eyed fans noticed that a tiny change had been made to Jungkook‘s appearance. The "J" on his ring finger alongside K had vanished.

The company apparently did some editing -- photoshop and they accepted it was an honest mistake, not intentional.

Tattooed Jungkook is precious to ARMY, as it took some years for him to expose them, but since past two years they have been happy to see he no longer has to hide them.
