COVID-19: 27 more deaths in Gujarat, total cases mount to 13669

Gandhinagar, May 23 (UNI) Gujarat reported 27 more deaths and 396 new cases of Novel Coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours, taking the overall number of positive cases in the western state to 13669, including 829 deaths and 6169 recoveries so far.
There were 289 new recoveries during the last 24 hours in the state, including 206 in Ahmedabad, 15 in Vadodara and 28 in Surat. Twenty-four of the deaths occurred in Ahmedabad and remaining two in Surat. Out of these, 17 had some kind of co-morbidity.
With 277 more new cases, Ahmedabad has a total of maximum 10001 reported positive cases, including 669 deaths and 3864 recoveries so far. All the new cases were locals, according to the official bulletin of the Health department. Of the total 6671 active cases 73 are on ventilators.
