Collective efforts a must to eliminate extremism, says BD JS Speaker Dr Shirin

Dhaka, Dec 10 (UNI) Bangladesh Speaker of Jatiyo Sangsad Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury on Tuesday stressed the need for collective efforts at International and regional levels to eliminate extremism for building a peaceful world.
Peaceful world could be built by eliminating extremism through working together at international and regional level as extremism is a global problem, said the Speaker while inaugurating the Anti-Extremism National Conference-2019 in city’s International Convention Center, Bashundara.
Extremism and terrorism should be rooted out from the grassroots levels, Dr Sharmin told the conference jointly organised by Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) Unit, Stop Violence Coalition Secretariat and a non-government organisation Rupantar.
