China's Wang Xiyu into second round at Miami Open

Washington, Mar 21 (Xinhua) China's wildcard player Wang Xiyu defeated Monica Puig of Puerto Rico to make the women's singles second round at the Miami Open on Wednesday.
The 17-year-old Wang needed just one hour or so to beat Rio Olympics gold medalist Puig 6-3, 6-1.
Wang converted on five out of ten break points while the 25-year-old Puig just broke her opponent once.
