Chhattisgarh Cabinet approves ₹500 crore AI mission, BEML plant and key governance reforms

Raipur, Aug 5 (UNI) The Chhattisgarh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, on Wednesday approved a series of decisions covering artificial intelligence, industrial development, digital governance, rural infrastructure, public finance and the power sector.
The decisions were taken at a Cabinet meeting held at Mahanadi Bhawan in Nava Raipur.
The Sai Cabinet has approved the Chhattisgarh State Artificial Intelligence (AI) Mission, a five year programme with an outlay of ₹500 crore. The mission is intended to promote good governance, emerging technologies, skill development and the digital economy in the state.

Panchkula, Aug 11 (UNI) The Centre has notified fresh amendments to the ₹11,900-crore PM E-DRIVE scheme, fixing support for up to 45.79 lakh registered electric two-wheelers and providing an incentive of ₹2,500 per kWh, capped at ₹5,000 per vehicle, from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2028.

UP: Husband arrested in Varanasi for killing in Dadra Nagar Haveli

Varanasi, Aug 11 (UNI) Nearly two months after his wife's murder in Silvassa in Dadra and Nagar Haveli, the accused husband was arrested on Monday evening in the Chandpur Industrial area of the Manduadih region by the Varanasi unit of the Special Task Force (STF) and the Silvassa police in a joint operation.

The accused was working in a factory here under a false name.
