Chennai businesswoman ends life by hanging

Chennai, Sep 12 (UNI) Well known businesswoman Ms Reeta Lankalingam,
who is also the owner of Lanson Toyota car dealership, committed suicide at
her posh Nungambakkam residence in the city on Thursday.
Police said the reason for the 50-year-old businesswoman ending her life was
being ascertained as no suicide note was recovered from the spot.
While Reeta was the Joint Managing Director of the car dealership, her husband
Lankalingam Murugesu was the Managing Director.
The suicide came to light today morning when maid servants knocked at her
bedroom as she did not come for breakfast.
Since there was no response, they informed her husband, who chose to stay at
a hotel last night allegedly due to some differences with Reeta, and the police.
Police rushed to her Kothari Road residence, broke open the bedroom and found
her hanging from the ceiling using a saree.
Later, her body was shifted to Government Kilpauk Medical College hospital for

Apart from car dealership, the family is into other businesses as well.
Reeta was a commerce graduate and was trained in effective personal
leadership by Leadership Management International, USA.
