CFI recognises HMSI's contribution for support to young cyclists representing India at int'l level

New Delhi, May 21 (UNI) Cycling Federation of India (CFI) on Tuesday felicitated Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) for its exceptional contribution in supporting young professional cyclists representing India at international level, the company said in a statement.
With Honda’s support Indian cyclists won 16 gold medals in international championships.
Speaking on the occasion, Harbhajan Singh, Director, General & Corporate Affairs, HMSI said, "We would like to thank the Cycling Federation of India for recognising Honda’s initiatives towards supporting young professional cyclists of this country. With our support, Alban Esow ranked number one in cyclists in the world and fulfilled the hopes of fans across India."
Represented by Mayuri Lute, Manjeet Singh and Apolonious, team India secured first place in medals tally by bagging six gold, five silver and three bronze medals at Track Asia Cup in September 2018. Besides, Alban Esow won the first ever silver medal for India in the World Junior Cycling Championships held at Aigle in August last year.
