Attack on BJP leader Roopa Ganguly in north Bengal, car windshield shattered

Siliguri, Apr 16 ((UNI) BJP leader Roopa Ganguly's car was vandalised when she was passing through Uttar Majhgram at Kranti in Jalpaiguri district on Monday evening in which one of her security guards was injured, the Rajya Sabha member alleged.

Ms Ganguly was in north Bengal for electioneering of BJP candidate from Jalpaiguri Dr Jayanta Roy.

" TMC criminals are out to murder democracy in West Bengal, " Ms Ganguly tweeted.

She said in the attack the windshield of her car was broken and one of her security personnel, a CRPF jawan, was injured.

However, the TMC denied in the attack, which the local police was investigating following an FIR lodged by the BJP leader at Kranti police station.
