Army dedicates 2018 as year of soldiers disabled in line of duty

Pune, Dec 7 (UNI) The Indian Army has marked the year 2018 as the 'Year of Disabled Soldiers in Line of Duty' and in accordance with the theme a felicitation program will be held between December 13-14 at Bombay Engineering Group(BEG) and Centre in Khadki town here, a defence statement said on Friday.
Organised by the Indian Army Southern Command, the event will be presided by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Bipin Rawat amidst the presence of several high-ranking military officials and civil dignitaries.
The schedule of the event includes wreath laying ceremony at Khadki War Memorial, provisioning of prosthetic and artificial limbs to disabled soldiers,and enactment of plays describing the ordeals of physically-challenged soldiers.
