AP scales up efforts to tackle possible 3rd wave of Covid-19

Itanagar, Jun 23 (UNI) Amid warning of possible third wave of Covid-19 , Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Wednesday informed that the state government has constituted a “core group of experts on Covid-19 surveillance and containment” for assessment, preparedness and management measures in this regard.
"Paediatricians will be extensively consulted and included in the process as it is speculated that the third wave may infect people below 18 years," Khandu said after inaugurating an oxygen plant of 600 LPM capacity at Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS), Naharlagun, near here.
He informed that 60 CHCs in each assembly constituency, identified in consultation with local MLAs, will be equipped with Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS) basic medical equipment of different types.
