Amit Shah to visit Bengal tomorrow to further rath yatra prog, says Mamata frightened

Kolkata/Cooch Behar, Dec 7 (UNI) BJP chief Amit Shah will visit Bengal tomorrow to further the party's rath yatra programme, even as a two-judge bench of Calcutta High Court today admitted an appeal challenging the single-bench ruling, putting the yatra on hold citing intelligence reports that the rally may cause communal disharmony.
BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya today announced that the party president will visit West Bengal on Saturday and reiterated that their proposed rath yatra would begin once the judiciary approved their appeal for the same.
Meanwhile in Delhi, Mr Shah declared that his party had only postponed, not cancelled, its yatras in West Bengal despite the Mamata Banerjee government and Calcutta High Court’s single bench judge denying permission on apprehensions of the programmes creating communal tension.
