Allahabad University students create ruckus over hostel evacuation, police vehicles torched, 10 held

Allahabad, Jun 5 (UNI) Students of Allahabad Central University created a ruckus when they were asked to vacate hostels, sources said on Tuesday.
University administration has to cancel the order to vacate the hostels when matter escalated as students torched many vehicles including police jeep.
In a statement released here, MP Nirala, personal secretary, Vice-chancellor Allahabad University said that VC Ratan Lal Hanglu has cancelled the order to vacate the hostels for students convenience.

536 new COVID 19 cases reported in Goa, 8 dead

Panaji, Sep 23 (UNI) The total confirmed cases of COVID 19 in Goa has gone up to 29879 as 536 people tested positive on Wednesday while total number of people who succumbed to the infection increased to 378 as eight people died on same day.

COVID-19: J&K reports fresh 1249 +ve cases, 20 deaths

Jammu, Sep 23 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday informed that 1249 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus, 646 from Jammu division and 603 from Kashmir division, have been reported taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 67510.
