After BJP denies ticket, BSY's son asks supporters to stay calm

Bengaluru, May 24 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa's son BY Vijayendra on Tuesday sought patience and dignity from party supporters after he was not given a ticket by the BJP to contest the June 3 Legislative Council polls.
"I appeal to all karyakartas to conduct themselves with patience and dignity. I am grateful to each and everyone of you for your continued faith, support and affection for BJP, Shri BS Yediyurappa and myself," he said in a statement here.
Vijayendra also urged the karyakartas and supporters to understand that power and position itself are not the ultimate objectives in politics. He said the party and leadership have always encouraged and stood by him ever since he entered politics, by giving him an opportunity to work as Vice President of the party's state unit.
