A sticky mat that takes away dirt

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) A low-cost, washable mat that takes away dust from a contacting surface has been developed at IIT, Kanpur.
The mat is usable over many cycles and when used it ensures a clean, hygienic, healthy, and refreshing atmosphere at homes, offices, hospitals, and laboratories as well as smooth functioning of many expensive equipment.
Prof Animangsu Ghatak of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the IIT developed the sticky mat with the support of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, under Make in India initiative.
