Mr Rao said Mr Yeddyurappa will be taking oath alone and he would expand his cabinet after proving the majority on the floor of the house.
Earlier in the day Mr Yeddyurappa had met the Governor and submitted the letter which was signed by the 104 BJP MLAs, sought that he be called first to form the government and had said that he was ready to prove the majority in a given time.
Today the JD(S) legislature party had met to elect H D Kumaraswamy as its leader, while Congress also held its CLP meeting to adopt a resolution expressing its support to JD(S) and seeking first invitation from the Governor.
Mr Vala had assured the two parties that he would take a suitable step after discussing issues with legal experts and also examine the Supreme Court verdicts, besides the procedures in the other states in such situation.
Both JD(S) and Congress wanted to parade their newly elected legislators before the Governor. But Mr Vala had allowed only 10 new legislators from the two parties besides the leaders.
After meeting the Governor Congress party, in its bid to prevent poaching of legislators had taken its MLAs to a five star resort on the outskirts of the city while JD(S) shifted its legislators to a five-star hotel in the heart of the city.
