9 arrested for selling counterfeit products

Kolkata, May 9 (UNI) The West Bengal police conducted raids in Kolkata, Malda and Siliguri on the premises of printing units, retail stores and storage units and arrested nine persons for selling fake products.
The raids were conducted during June 2017 till March 2018 on the basis of Seiko Epson Corporation’s complaint. The enforcement authorities conducted over eight raids across the state and recovered several hundred fake ink bottles and other counterfeit products like outer packaging materials, seal machines, among other things.
Seiko Epson Corporation, a world leader in digital imaging and printing solutions, has reaffirmed their stance against counterfeit products by assisting the police in conducting raids across West Bengal.
