7 drown in Marathwada on 'Bullock Festival'

Aurangabad, Maharahstra, Sep 10 (UNI) Seven people, including two brothers, drowned in different ponds across this and Hingoli districts in Marathwada region on the occasion of 'Bullock Festival' (Pola) on Sunday.



As per reports, six people including two brothers from Virgaon village met watery grave in Kapuswadgaon pond when they were washing their bullock on the occasion.



They were identified as Rushikesh Rayte (18) and Ramesh Rayte (16).



Sanket Nimone (18) from Dehal village in Gangapur taluka slipped in the pond nearby while washing his bullocks.

Reports from Kannad stated that Kailash Bhaviskar (24),a farmer from Andhaner village, lost his life in Ambadi medium irrigation project near Kannad, while another 14-year-old boy Navnath Gavali from Chambarwadi village in same taluka met the same fate when he had gone with his father for washing their bullocks.



A 14-year-old boy from Bazar Savangi village in Aurangabad taluka too lost his life for the same reason.



A report from Hingoli district said Vishal Thombare (17), a youth from Makvata village in Vasmat taluka drowned in a pond.

Jammu, Jun 5 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday informed that 182 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus, (74 from Jammu division and 108 from Kashmir division), have been reported thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 3324.

Hamirpur(HP), June 5(UNI) While two more Corona infected persons were found in the Hamirpur district thereby raising the numbers of total positive cases to 120, six more cured of the disease and the number of the cured persons rose to fifty-five.
