New Delhi, Dec 1 (UNI) Around six passengers were found Covid-19 positive after screening of 3476 passengers from 11 international flights from 'at risk' countries, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in a statement, on Wednesday.
The samples of the Covid positive passengers have been sent to INSACOG labs for Genomic Sequencing. The government keeps track of the evolving situation, and supports States and UTs in the fight against the pandemic through the "whole of Government" approach, said the statement.
On the first day of the operation of the guidelines for international travelers issued by the government as public health response measures for the control and management of the new Omicron variant of Corona virus a
total of 11 international flights landed at various airports of the country except Lucknow, from midnight to 4 pm on Wednesday, from 'at risk' countries. All 3476 passengers were administered RT PCR Tests, wherein six passengers were found Covid positive.
