Srinagar, June 30 (UNI) Security forces arrested five "hybrid" militants of Lashkar-e-Taiba in two separate operations in Srinagar and Baramulla districts of Jammu and Kashmir, police said here on Thursday.
They were identified as Naveed Shafi Wani and Faizan Rashid Teli, both residents of Pampore. They were arrested in Srinagar by a joint team of police and Army.
"On the basis of specific input about the movement of terrorists in the district, Srinagar Police laid special nakas. On one such special Naka, laid with 50 RR on Sanat Nagar Chowk-Rangreth road area during checking, one hybrid terrorist was apprehended along with one pistol and some rounds," a police spokesman said.
