181 discharged, 128 new Covid cases found in Manipur

Imphal, Oct 1 (UNI) Manipur today recorded more recoveries than new Covid cases.
In the past twenty-four hours, 112 persons (61males, 50 females) from general population and 16 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVIDI9 positive cases.
The positive cases were from RIMS — 35; Senapati — 2; Tengnoupal — 7; Noney -21; Churachandpur — 4; Raj Medicity — 3; Ukhrul — 4; Tamenglong — 18; Shija Hospital —10; Imphal East - 7; Kakching - 1; Thoubal - 1; Mother’s Care - 1; Jiribam - 2; Hillside Hospital - 2; Babina Diagnostics — 7; Bishnupur — 2: JNIMS — 1.

Kolkata, Apr 16 (UNI) In a study published in the Nature journal Communications Biology
on April 12 last, an international team of researchers led by MedGenome, India/USA and
SciGenom Research Foundation (SGRF), India analyzed genetic variation in ACE2, the
receptor for the COVID-19 causing SARS-CoV-2 virus, from over 300,000 individuals and
identified key mutations that are predicted to make individuals more susceptible to the
COVID-19 virus.
