New Delhi, May 18 (UNI) The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Friday nabbed a passenger at Mangaluru airport who was carrying 10 kg of marijuana, concealed in three pumpkins.
Around 1615 hrs, on a tip-off, CISF surveillance and intelligence team of Mangaluru Airport intercepted a passenger in departure area and picked him up for thorough search. He was taken to random checking point for thorough checking.
His baggage were passed through the scanning machine and some suspicious images were seen inside his bag. On physical checking of the bag, 10 kg of Ganja (marijuana) was detected tactfully concealed inside 3 pumpkins kept inside his bag.
Immediately, the matter was informed to the Custom officials of Mangaluru Airport.
The passenger later identified as Kalai Tasleem Kalai Basheer was supposed to travel from Mangaluru to Doha by Air India Express flight.
“ Kalai Tasleem Kalai Basheer along-with the recovered contraband was handed over to the Custom Officials for further legal action”, a CISF release said here.
