'Skeletons' ropes in John Goodman along with Brie Larson

Los Angeles, July 8 (UNI) American television actor John Goodman has joined the cast of horror thriller "Skeletons" which also features Brie Larson.
JT Mollner takes the director's seat for this venture. The movie also boasts of an ensemble cast of seasoned actors including Kyle Gallner, Willa Fitzgerald, Ione Skye and Daithí Ó Haragáin.
The film is a modern take on creature horror movies told from the perspective of a young boy who slowly begins to discover his beloved parents are hiding a disturbing secret about his mother’s true nature, according to DEADLINE.
Brian Duffield wrote the initial screenplay based off the short story by Phillip Fracassi, with revisions by Mollner. Sony Pictures picked up worldwide rights during this year’s European Film Market with FilmNation, WME, and CAA handling the sale.
This high-profile project being developed by FilmNation Entertainment's Infrared banner in partnership with J. J. Abrams's Bad Robot Productions and Assemble Media.
Skeletons reunites Goodman with Abrams more than a decade after their collaboration on 10 Cloverfield Lane, which Abrams produced.
Widely regarded as one of Hollywood's most accomplished character actors, Goodman has earned both Emmy and Golden Globe honours over a career spanning several decades. He has delivered acclaimed performances in classics such as "Barton Fink", "The Big Lebowski" and the Academy Award-winning political thriller "Argo", earning widespread recognition for his remarkable versatility and commanding screen presence.
