New Delhi, Dec 13 (UNI) Zoya Akhtar directorial 'Gully Boy' starreing Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, has been selected by the Berlin International Film Festival for a special gala screening.
Inspired by the underground rappers in Mumbai, the film has been garnering immense buzz amongst the masses ever since its announcement.
Ranveer Singh is playing the lead character, which is based on the life of Indian Underground Rappers Divine and Naezy while Alia Bhatt plays his love interest.
'Gully Boy' is the second association of Ranveer Singh with director Zoya Akhtar after 'Dil Dhadakne Do'.
Announcing the selection, Producer Farhan Akhtar took to social media to share, "Happy to share that #GullyBoy has been selected by the Berlin International Film Festival for a special gala screening".
Director Zoya Akhtar also shared an Instagram story announcing the news.
Even before the release of the film, ‘Gully Boy’ will get an international screening at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival.
‘Gully Boy’ has been creating immense buzz ever since its announcement , be it for the preparation videos or the spottings.
The film also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Kalki Koechlin in pivotal roles.
Directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Excel Entertainment, ‘Gully Boy’ is slated to release on February 14, 2019.
