Yulu partners with Adani Electricity

Mumbai, Sep 21 (UNI) Yulu, the country’s largest e-mobility service provider, has partnered with Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML) with the common objective of working towards building a sustainable city by reducing traffic congestion and air pollution in Mumbai.
With this collaboration, Yulu will have access to multiple AEML premises across Mumbai, and will work towards identifying and installing its charging stations at suitable locations as it expands across the city.
Yulu plans to install over 500 charging stations at AEML premises in the next 18 months across the city.
YULU has emerged as a prominent player to bring innovation to mobility, first and last-mile connectivity, and address the industry challenges to make the urban areas more livable. Further, Yulu has expanded its services to short-mile delivery of goods. Its new customized e-bike Yulu DEX provides a sustainable and affordable delivery option that addresses the key challenges faced by gig economy workers; rising fuel prices, inability to buy their personal vehicles, and lack of driving license. Yulu’s endeavor towards electrification of mobility will help to create a clean and green environment.
AEML spokesperson said, “Adani Electricity is committed to establishing infrastructure for electrifying mobility in Mumbai and supporting Yulu in its journey for providing a sustainable mobility solution to Mumbaikars. AEML is committed to supporting the nation in its goals of achieving a reduction in greenhouse gases (GHG) emission.”
Presently, Yulu e-bikes are majorly deployed in the BKC area and Navi Mumbai with plans to expand to more areas across Mumbai. AEML will install charging stations at BKC and will scale up across Mumbai as per Yulu’s requirements.
Amit Gupta, Co-Founder – Yulu Bike, shared “This is a great opportunity as AEML and us have a common vision of building a sustainable future with greener commuting solutions. With this collaboration, Yulu will have 24x7 battery charging and swapping access across multiple points in Mumbai and this will be our first step together towards electrification of mobility in Mumbai. We will be installing 500 EV charging stations across Mumbai in the next 18 months.”
