YSRCP rejects Pushkar stampede Report

Hyderabad, Sep 19 (UNI) Rejecting the Somayajulu Commission Report absolving Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu from the stampede during Godavari Pushkarams which claimed over 30 lives, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has said that the exercise has toed the official line by shifting the blame on devotees and media while the facts were otherwise.

Speaking to media here on Wednesday, party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma said, ‘The Commission, instead of finding causes behind the stampede, has taken pains to establish that Chief Minister was not at fault and only the devotees who gathered in large numbers and the media were responsible for the stampede which resulted in the loss of human life.
