YSRCP Govt opted reverse tendering to give contracts to their men : Naidu alleges

YSRCP Govt opted reverse tendering to give contracts to their men : Naidu alleges

Vijayawada, Sep 20 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the ruling YSRCP government had opted the reversing tendering process only to handover the construction works of Polavaram project to their men.

Addressing a press conference in his residence at Tadepalli near here on Friday, he alleged that the YSRCP leaders ‘reserved’ their own contracts to handover the Polavaram construction works in the name of reverse tendering.

“Reverse tendering has become ‘reserve’ tendering as the ruling party leaders have ‘reserved their own contractors’ to give the works of Polavaram project” he alleged.

Mr.Naidu said that the government is not taking advises from the technical experts on the construction of Polavaram irrigation project, being constructed across the river Godavari.

“If anything happens to the Polavaram project in the future, East Godavari and West Godavari districts will bore the brunt” he warned, asking the government not to compromise with the quality in the construction works.

“Chief Minister Mr.Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who allegedly amassed wealth of Rs.43,000 crore illegally when his father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was the Chief Minister, is now taking about honesty” Mr.Naidu ridiculed.

“Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said in the Assembly that the height of Polavaram project will be reduced” he said, and asked Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy to make a statement by giving clarification on Mr Rao’s comments.

He demanded the YSRCP government to make it clear when the Polavaram project would be completed.

Mr.Naidu slammed the YSRCP government for intimidating the media also in the state and only National Media is exposing the facts.

MLAs N Ramanaidu, K Atchennaidu, P Keshav and former Minister Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao were among those who are present at the press meet.
