YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme to benefit 70 lakh farmer families in AP: Minister

Kakinada, Sep 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for agriculture Kurasala Kannababu on Wednesday said that the YSR Bharosa scheme would benefit 70 lakh farmers including tenant farmers in the state and the verification of village wise lists for identification of the eligible has just commenced and continues up to September 25.
He told the media at his camp office here that the lists provided by RTG would be verified by the committees constituted at different levels and the lists would be displayed at Gram Panchayats, calling for objections, if any, before uploading in the App.

The Minister further said that the Chief Minister has already directed the bankers to credit the amounts sanctioned in the unencumbered account of farmers, as it is given as a farming investment to them.

He stated that the verification would be done by the MPEOs and VROs in the villages in coordination with village volunteers. In case of major villages AEO and Revenue Inspectors of revenue department along with MPEO and VRO would coordinate.

''Tahasildar and Mandal Agriculture Officers will monitor at mandal level, RDOs and Assistant Directors at division level and at the Joint directors will coordinate under the chairmanship of District Collectors at district level. Aqua farmers and those converted the lands and income tax payers are not eligible under the scheme. Landless tenant farmers who signs lease agreement with land owner ,irrespective of size of holding is eligible'', he clarified.
