Youth killed by unidentified persons in Nashik

Nashik, Dec 8 (UNI) A youth was allegedly killed by four unidentified persons near Sambhaji Chowk in old Nashik area here last night, police said on Sunday.

Bhadrakali police said, the deceased, who was identified as Vivek Suresh Shinde (23), resident of Jai Jalarain society in Dwarka area.
The incident occurred, when the victim along with his friend Om Rajendra Hedge, were coming to their home on their bike, the four unidentified persons waylaid their bike and sought money. In a scuffle, Om Hedge managed to flee from the scene but Vinod could not, he was "attacked with a sharp weapon".
Later, he was admitted to hospital but he succumbed to his injuries, the police said.
After committing the alleged crime, the four suspects fled the spot, the police added.
