Youth held in Bengal for making money illegally by screening media content

Kolkata, June 30 (UNI) A 20-year-old youth was detained from northern West Bengal's Alipurduar district for allegedly screening films, shows, serials as also web series on his multi-streaming platform illegally and making money by charging a fee from the viewers, police said on Thursday.
Sudip Sutradhar was picked up by the police from the Barobisha area under Kumargram police station earlier this week on a complaint from a private television channel that tit was losing viewers over the past two months as its shows were being screened on the youth's platform.
Sutradhar allegedly used to charge only Rs 25 from each viewer for viewing the content.
