Youth Congress should strengthen party at grassroots : Santokh Chaudhary

Jalandhar, Oct 17 (UNI) Congress MP Santokh Singh Chaudhary on Sunday said that the members of District Youth Congress should dedicate themselves to strengthening the party at grassroots and propagate its values to everyone.
Speaking at a training session organized at District Congress Bhawan in the city, the Congress MP said that Congress was the grand old party of India and led the struggle for our nation’s Independence, adding that, “after we won freedom from the British Raj, Congress has always worked for the poor, downtrodden and marginalized sections of the society.”
“We have protected the values of democracy, liberty, fraternity and secularism, which are part of the basic structure of the Constitution of India. But under the current BJP government, our institutions, constitutional values, economy and national security are facing grave threats. We have to protect the idea of India from such dangers,” he said.
