Young bride dies due to water logging in Tirupati

Tirupati, Oct 23 (UNI) A Young bride Sandhya (30) from Karnataka town of Raichur coming for Darshan of Sri Venkateshwara died of suffocation when her vehicle was stuck in a water logged under bridge near West Church in pilgrim city in early hours of Saturday.
However six others including a child in the vehicle were moved to safety by locals and SV university police.
Heavy to torrential rains in Tirupati on Friday night had led to water logging of roads and under bridges and pilgrims wanting to reach Tirumala in a hurry for their slotted darshan were caught unawares in the darkness of early hours of Saturday.
