Lucknow, Jul 5 (UNI) Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday accused the Yogi Adityanath government of shifting the blame on the Opposition to hide its own failures, particularly on law and order front.
'The UP government owes an answer to the people of the state, as to how the dreaded criminals were allowed to run their empire with impunity and the police and the state machinery chose to ignore the activities of the gang of criminals in Kanpur,' Mr Yadav said in a statement here.
He added that the government must also share information with the people about the leaders of the ruling party, 'who were in close contact with mafia don Vikas Dubey'.
