Yogi ask to implement effective integrated strategy to combat Covid

Lucknow, Jul 16 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to implement an effective integrated strategy through inter-departmental coordination to combat COVID-19 and other communicable diseases and said the nodal officers deployed in all the districts should review it daily.

Presiding over a high-level Unlock review meeting at his official residence here on Tuesday, he said that the senior officers deployed in the districts are being directed to monitor from the headquarters, the special cleanliness and sanitation drive in their allocated districts.

He asserted that during the drive, prevention of Covid-19 and other communicable diseases, medical screening, supply of potable water and the works related to cleanliness and sanitization should be undertaken expeditiously.

He also asked to do spray and fogging compulsorily during cleanliness and sanitation drive.

Expressing satisfaction over achieving the capacity of Covid sample testing of over 48,000 per day, the CM said that it should be ramped up to 50,000 per day. Out of this 30-35000 testing should be done by RTPCR method, 2-2500 by TruNAT machines and 20-25000 by Rapid Antigen technique.

He laid stress on tele-consultation by the doctors.

He also put emphasis on using public address systems along with electronic and print media to educate people about the prevention from Covid-19. “There is a need of taking special caution in the districts of Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar, Varanasi and Jhansi in view of the Covid-19. The effective measures are required in these districts to counter the COvid-19,” he said.

The CM noted that all precautions must be taken to insulate the police force from the infection. The police personnel on enforcement duty should be provided masks, gloves and sanitiser. He said that the services of NCC cadets can also be considered along with Home-guards and PRD jawans in the containment zones.

The Chief Minister said that cleanliness is extremely important to control an infectious disease like Covid-19. Keeping it in view, the L-1 hospitals should be set up at the places where the basic facilities for cleanliness are available. He directed to keep all the arrangements in L-1 hospitals in order for the better facilities to the patients.

Ayodhya: MP CM rains fire on Cong

04 Aug 2020 | 1:17 AM

Bhopal, Aug 3 (UNI) The beleaguered Congress camp – which no-holds-barred political observers describe as ‘outnumbered, outmanoeuvred and outgunned’ – sustained a sarcasm-laced broadside on Monday when Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, without naming anyone, averred that the party’s leaders who denied the very existence of Lord Ram are now busying themselves in determining which moment will be auspicious for the much-awaited Ayodhya temple’s ‘bhoomi pujan’.
“Invoking Raghav’s name itself makes a moment propitious. The Congress is coursing towards decline on account of its inferior ideology and playing with the faith of Sanatan Dharm. For that party, Ram may be a political subject but for us He is a symbol of devotion and belief. In the Puranic period, when rishis performed yajna they were targeted by asuras and rakshasas. The Congress bigwigs are playing the latter role,” the senior Bharatiya Janata Party politician conveyed via social media.
