Yogi Adityanath meets Modi

New Delhi, Dec 6 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the backdrop of the violence in Bulandshahr, sources here said.

Though details about the meeting were not available, sources said the two leaders discussed
the recent Bulandshahr violence. The Chief Minister will meet President Ram Nath Kovind tomorrow.

Earlier in the day in Lucknow, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister met the family of slain police inspector Subodh Kumar Singh, who died following clashes between the police and ‘gau rakshaks’ on December 3 in Bulandshahr.

Four people have been arrested so far in connection with the Bulandhshar violence, which claimed the life of police inspector Subodh Singh. The state government has announced an ex gratia amount of Rs 40 lakh to be given to the family of the slain police inspector.
The state government has announced assistance of Rs 10 lakh for the second victime, a youth named Sumit who died during the violence.
