Yediyurappa insists on Karnataka minister's resignation amidst suicide fallout

Shivamogga, May 29 (UNI) Veteran BJP leader BS Yediyurappa has called for the resignation of Karnataka Scheduled Tribes Welfare Minister B Nagendra amidst allegations of embezzlement totaling crores of rupees from a state-run corporation within his department, following the tragic suicide of an official allegedly connected to the scandal.
Expressing his condolences for the loss of the officer, Yediyurappa emphasised the need for swift action, stating, "It's truly tragic that an officer felt compelled to take such drastic action. This should never have occurred. I urge swift action to be taken against those individuals mentioned in the suicide note."
Highlighting the gravity of the situation, the former Chief Minister continued, "Given the seriousness of the matter, there is a growing call for Minister B Nagendra's resignation. I firmly believe he should step down voluntarily in light of these allegations."
